Euro Auctions is seeking a Trainee Valuator to join the Sales Support division based at our headquarters in Dromore. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual interested in carving a successful career in a unique industry.   

The Job

The Sales Support team help Territory Managers optimise their sales pipeline by leveraging customer referrals as well as targeting and qualifying new leads. This particular role focuses on maximising TM purchasing activities and will require the technical and commercial skills needed to utilise the sales tools necessary to conduct business.

Valuers work closely with the TMs to help appraise equipment globally using the company's valuation techniques and global market knowledge.

Under the guidance of the Lead Valuer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to the valuation requests from TMs via CRM timely to facilitate potential deals.
  • Analysis of past auction results to understand equipment pricing trends.
  • Appraising and inspecting equipment conditions via images.
  • Assessing predicted auction price following consideration of all commercial factors affecting and impacting value.
  • Field sales related calls/enquiries and redirect, where appropriate to the TM.
  • Liaising with other departments to follow up on location and status of purchase items to ensure they reach desired auction.
  • Review of Hammer Price following the sale to assess the success of the purchases. 
  • Assist with activities pre-auction, auction day and post-auction, including guide prices, order of sale and assist with auction brochure content.   
  • Researching, compiling and analysing market data for emerging markets.  

 

The Person

All Valuers are key players in the Auction process working with global market values and ensuring additional costs do not impact negatively on profit margin. Valuers are highly commercial with an ability to predict trends and work fluidly in today's fast-paced market. This role would suit someone from a vehicle sales background.

The Requirements

  • Knowledge of all types of plant, equipment, commercials and machinery.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's A-C grade including English and Maths.
  • Highly commercial, organised and adaptable with the ability to manage own workload.  
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel. CRM experience is desirable.
  • Motivated and deadline driven with keen attention to detail.
  • Head for figures with ability to assist in proposals. 
  • Flexibility and willingness to work extra hours during busy auction periods.
  • Reliable with desire to exceed expectations.
  • A valid Passport.
