Job Description

Job Title: Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Reporting To: Group IT Manager

Location: Dromore, Omagh, Co. Tyrone.  

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm – Hybrid.

Euro Auctions conducts unreserved auctions of industrial plant, construction equipment and agricultural machinery on a global basis with sites in the UK, Europe, UAE, Australia, Canada and US. We are the market leader in Europe, holding 70+ auctions and selling more lots per sale than any other auction house.

Euro Auctions are looking for a Senior Java Developer to manage the Software Development Lifecycle of our Online applications from planning and prioritizing to testing and rapid delivery. The successful candidate will be part of the development team that works on the inter-related business applications and will be heavily involved in the design and development of the Online Bidding & Marketplace applications.

The Job:

  • To analyze and assess the business requirements to find the best solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are highly important for this role
  • Gather system requirements, build application specific documents, design application architecture and implement modern application design and testing features before any new release of the online applications
  • Must be able to interact with internal teams in identifying and analyzing requirements for the development process
  • Should have hands on experience in developing software with an appropriate methodology
  • Ensure all online applications are secure and up to date

Projects:

  • Support & Development of our Live Online Bidding Platform
  • Support & Development of our Timed Online Bidding Platform
  • Development of our Online Marketplace & integrations with Payment Gateways, Web APIs for Haulage, Machine Specifications & Pricing Evaluation Tools
  • Design changes for all 3 applications & integrations with the sister websites euroauctions.com, www.yoderandfrey.com & www.maauctions.com
  • Management of Single Sign-On across all platforms & sites

 

Skills Required:

  • Experience with Object orientated design
  • 5 years’ experience as a Senior Java Developer or any similar role
  • In depth knowledge of popular Java frameworks including MVC
  • Strong knowledge of Java/JavaScript/jQuery
  • Familiar with SQL, MySQL & MongoDB
  • Experience with managing large and disparate datasets
  • Creating Web Services and RESTful services with Web API’s
  • Familiar with Open-Source Tools and experience with repositories & AWS
