Euro Auctions is a world leading auctioneer of industrial, plant, construction & agricultural equipment. With sites in UK, Germany, Spain, Australia & USA Euro Auctions conducts 55+ auctions every year.

The IT Auction Supervisor will be involved in the entire auction process and is responsible for ensuring operational departments have completed their core auction tasks. In addition, the role will focus on continual improvement and ensuring that any auction issues are addressed and solutions implemented to ensure the smooth and consistent running of each auction.

The Job

  • Overall management of all ‘live’ auctions, offsite auctions & online auctions including the setup, resourcing & process management
  • Continually review IT operations & auction processes to ensure operational efficiency
  • Perform constant reviews of the global sites ensuring setup is effectively managed in a timely manner
  • Manage the online marketplace inventory, image & video management & core online customer processes
  • Develop the online software to provide efficient technical enhancements to the operation
  • Effectively deal with auction customer queries providing best outcome for customer
  • Prepare backup/contingency auction plans for each site & constantly test and review for each auction
  • Liaise with yard staff to devise technological improvements to auction processes
  • Manage and co-ordinate workloads for Online Auction Co-ordinators & other IT staff resourcing
  • Liaise with the Marketing & Sales Teams to ensure all equipment is photographed & presented for auction accurately & in a timely manner
  • Understand all IT auction infrastructure ensuring optimum performance at auction events

The requirements.

  • Minimum 2 years supervisory/ managerial experience.
  • Previous experience in an IT position.
  • Works well under pressure to deliver results & improve service delivery
  • Previous experience with process improvement & be driven to manage change
  • Excellent organisation, time management, leadership & decision-making skills
  • Experience/interest in heavy plant machinery & good knowledge of the different categories
  • Possess and maintain a valid passport & driving license

This role requires an organised individual with excellent problem solving, task management skills and process improvement.
