Job Title: General Yard Operative

Reporting To: Sales and Operations Manager

Location: 161 Sandmere Road, Brisbane. QLD 4008

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.

Euro Auctions conducts unreserved auctions of industrial plant, construction equipment and agricultural machinery on a global basis with sites in the UK, Europe, UAE, Australia, and US. We are the market leader in Europe, holding more sales and selling more lots per sale than any other auction house.

We currently require an experienced general yard operative to assist in preparation of the yard prior to the sale, and movement of machinery during the auction.

Key Activities:

• Assist in yard operations to ensure the smooth running of all auctions.
• Safe movement of equipment and machinery in the auction yard.
• Precise loading and unloading activities.
• Assisting with stock checks.
• Participating in other yard duties.

The Person:

We're on the lookout for an experienced yard operative with good communication and time management skills. Can work as part of a team and use their own initiative with the ability to climb on and off large equipment.

The Requirements

Essential Criteria:

• Valid drivers’ licence.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience operating forklifts.
• Previous experience working on a busy yard/site.

Desirable Criteria:

• Prior experience operating heavy equipment and trucks.
• Mechanical experience.
