We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional service for Buyers and Sellers. The Company's continued global success has led to an opportunity for a Commercial Projects Accountant to join its dynamic team at its headquarters in Dromore, Co. Tyrone.

The Job

As Commercial Projects Accountant, you will report to the Group FC with a dotted line to the MD. Initially the role will support the existing multifaceted finance team in all aspects of the Group's global growth strategy. This will include improving current financial systems, processes and controls across the group, in preparation for the design and implementation of a new financial system.

Other projects will centre on further merges and acquisitions across the group. This is a key position within the senior management team, enabling the key decisions that define the future of the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Review current systems to design and improve areas of weakness within.
  • Design and assist in the integration of new accountancy systems to improve all financial
  • processes within the group.
  • Provide commercially focused analysis on both financial and non-financial information as a
  • support to senior management when required.
  • Coordination any third party due diligence related to potential mergers and acquisitions.
  • Plan, control, coordinate and lead the integration of any successful acquisition right through to
  • handover stage.
  • Proactively review and recommend improvements throughout all aspects of the acquired
  • business to ensure future growth and profitability.

The Person

  • Highly developed business and commercial acumen, fully committed to continuous business improvement.
  • Strong leader with experience in influencing, leading, managing and developing a team with a strong project expertise.
  • Strong academic record, great communication skills and self-confidence.
  • The ability to work autonomously to lead a transaction from beginning to end.
  • Goal orientated with flexibility to travel.

The Requirements

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA) with a minimum of 3 years' Post Qualified Experience preferably in a related industry.
  • Proven track record within the following areas of accounting: Commercial Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial and Management Accounting. Experience of Global taxation would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to develop and implement quality procedures and systems.
  • Highly analytical with excellent systems experience and advanced Excel skills.
  • Decision maker with excellent communication skills and demonstrable experience of influencing cross-functionality at varying levels.
  • Experience in performing Financial Due Diligence (Desired).
