Another Record Breaking Auction in Dormagen

The second German auction of 2010 took place in a rainy Dormagen earlier this month. The auction on 6th & 7th May saw 1349 Lots in total go under the hammer and there was certainly no shortage of bidders both onsite and online.

Last week’s auction witnessed Euro Auctions highest ever online sales percentage (36%) and in total 36 countries registered for the auction including China, Singapore, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.  Top online buyer countries were Germany, the UK, Finland, the Netherlands and Syria.

A special consignment meant Manlifts in particular were in plentiful supply at the sale and in total 186 went under the hammer.  They were purchased by Buyers from The Netherlands, Finland, France, Hungary, Poland, Sweden and Romania. Prices were very strong with a noticeable increase from the same period in 2009.

“Crane and Manlift prices at this auction were very strong, our best prices at a German auction since 2008.  There was an enormous amount of Manlifts to choose from and prices exceeded our expectations. Our Sellers were more than satisfied.” Jonnie Keys, Euro Auctions.
