Euro Auctions ready to ‘Do It Again’ in Brisbane

Euro Auctions launch Sale Number 2 on the back of their highly successful inaugural auction at its new permanent site in Brisbane, Australia.

On the 22nd June, Euro Auctions Australia will host its second construction machinery and equipment sale at its permanent sale site in Brisbane, Queensland, following the inaugural sale earlier this year.

With over 500 lots for sale on 22nd June, Euro Auctions is confident that registered bidders for this sale will be satisfied with the quality of the machinery on offer. Whilst the mix of lots in the catalogue is broad and varied, with many good quality low hours machines, there are a number of ‘STAR BUYS’ at this next sale which should entice the bidders including:

• Un-used CAT D8T dozer.
• Un-used CAT 980H wheeled loader.
• 2010 Hitachi ZX 870 LCR-3

The interest in this second Euro Auctions sale has been staggering, with twice the previous interest and the number of bidders registered for the sale being ‘double’ that of the first sale in March 2012. The Euro Auctions team in Brisbane has been overwhelmed with the pre-sale activity, convinced that the take-up is directly linked to the success of the first sale in March. Another change to the proceedings for the event on 22nd June is that Euro Auctions will be running the sale in an American ‘parade style’ format, where the machinery for sale will be paraded over a viewing ramp, as opposed to the ‘static’ style auction previously used.

Joe Rafferty, from Euro Auctions explains why interest in this June sale is brisk:

“During our first sale I think both Australian buyers and sellers were a little sceptical regarding the concept of running a truly ‘unreserved’ auctions in Australia, with all items being sold at the drop of the hammer. All ‘would be buyers’ now know that they can come along and choose a quality piece of equipment, buy it and take it away without any problems. I also think the quality of equipment that Euro Auctions presented for the first sale overwhelmed many of the attendees, expecting to find old run down equipment, but being overwhelmed by the new or nearly new equipment on offer. We listened to many of the customers from the first auction that were keen to see a greater variety of the type of equipment on offer, so at this next sale we have more smaller auxiliary items like generators, concrete saws, etc, right through to all the usual big gear”.

Due to a buoyant Australian economy, with mining and construction equipment increasingly in demand, this next sale is highly anticipated with the market intrigued to see if Euro Auctions can ‘do it again’. With auction sites in the UK, an Ireland, Germany and Spain and country manager in the northern hemisphere, Euro Auctions has a good network of sellers and dealers that have made it possible to present the stock for this event. With a global network of regular worldwide buyers there will be global interest both online and present at the sale, as well as a strong contingency from the Australasian market.

Thomas Overton – Country Manager for Euro Auctions, Australia concludes:

“In the 3 months following the last sale in Brisbane we have been working extremely hard to put on a sale that will surpass the quality of machinery previously shown for sale, as well as increasing interest from the Australian and global markets. We know we have to provide a quality product to satisfy the Australian market and as a result have been tapping into our network to provide this sale with the quality stock that is anticipated. All the guys at Euro Auctions are confident we won’t disgrace ourselves and are confident the buyers will be impressed”.

In March this year, Euro Auctions surprised the Australian market by presenting a sale catalogue, with over 350 good quality, highly desirable makes and models of machinery going under the hammer, realising a sale value of over AUS $11 million on the day.

The next Euro Auctions sale will be held on the 22nd June, at 153 Main Beach Road, Pinkenba, Queensland 4008, Australia.
