A record number of bidders registered for Euro Auctions’ March plant auction in Dromore. The two day auction saw bidders from twenty-two countries buying all 1441 lots for a total hammer price of £5M.

The Middle East and North Africa were represented by Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, while the Far East was represented by China. Appearing in the top five internet buying countries behind the UK and Ireland were Poland, the Netherlands and Finland making a good presence for Northern Europe. It is expected that this will result in about 53 percent of equipment sold, being exported from the UK.

Demand was strong and the auction saw the highest ever online sales percentage, as well as a record number of registered bidders for a Dromore auction. The auction witnessed a rise in commercial prices and the ten and twenty ton excavator categories were met with the highest demand.

“Our brand new auction auditorium at our Dromore site, was only opened in December 2009. Our recent Dromore auction saw a record number of bidders register for the auction. We love to see our regular customers return each time, it is also to nice to see so many new bidders registering for the auction”.
